Francis Walker - Short Bio
Francis Walker was one of six children born to Charles and Elenor Walker who immigrated to the United States from Northern Ireland in the eighteenth century.
Francis was married January 8, 1789 to Elisabeth Cambel in the Centre ("First") Presbyterian Church near Carlisle in the Tuscarora Valley, of what was then Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
Most of the extended Walker family to which Francis belonged moved to Knox County, Tennessee by 1795 or so; Francis apparently did not go there, but later moved to Ohio, and when very old he moved to Kosciusko County, Indiana. In the 19th century, Francis' nephew George Walker (George and Julian Jean Walker's son) saw some of Francis' descendants near Madison, Indiana.
Otherwise nothing is known of this branch of the Walkers.
Francis married Elisabeth Cambel on 8 Jan 1789 in Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, USA.
