Beatrice Child Child-Villiers was born on 12 October 1880. She was the daughter of Victor Albert George Child-Villiers, 7th Earl of Jersey and Hon. Margaret Elizabeth Leigh. She married Edward John Morton Drax Plunkett, 18th Baron of Dunsany, son of John William Plunkett, 17th Baron of Dunsany and Ernie Elizabeth Louisa Maria Grosvenor Burton, on 15 September 1904.
Her married name became Plunkett.
