Frances L. Freeman, age 77, of Chillicothe, passed away on the Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Methodist Hospital in Peoria.
Frances was born on October 17, 1946 in Peoria, IL to Bob and Mildred (Smith) Leas. She married Edward Freeman in April of 2018 in Louisiana.
Surviving are her sons, Rick (Donna Grace) Wolfe of Hanna City, IL, Jay (Monica) Wolfe of Houghton, IA and Jerry (Stephanie) Wolfe of Metamora, IL; her stepsons, Lee (Michelle Showalter) Freeman of Chicago, IL, David (Jennifer) Freeman of Chillicothe, IL and Michael (Amy) Freeman of Solon, IA; seven grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother, Robert (Earlene) Leas of Germantown Hills, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Cindy Glover.
Frances worked for Home Interiors and later for the Traveler's Club through First National Bank. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Bartonville and she enjoyed painting and sewing.
Cremation rites will be accorded burial of ashes will be next to her father at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Arrangements are under the care of Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Online condolences may be made through www.weberhurdfuneralhome.com
