Russell conrad formerly of LaOtto, died January 1, 2003 at his home in New Port Richey, Fla. He was born in Ashley and moved from LaOtto to Florida in 1977. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Annabelle M., of New Port Richey; a son, Troy J. of Hudson; 3 daughters, Lana Jo Whonsetler and Valerie Sue Nadzam of New Port Richey, and Kellie Ann Sykes of Hudson; 5 sisters, Luella Stabler of Fort Wayne, Virginia Scheurich of Kendallville, Helen Battocletti of Amherst, Ohio, Alice Egolf of Ashley and Judy Conrad of Fort Wayne; and 5 grandchildren. He retired as a plumber for Century Plumbing in Hudson after 21 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean Conflict.
