Life story Larry Eugene Leas, 66, of Madison died January 11, 2010 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. He was born May 3, 1943 in Richmond, Indiana, the son of Ruth R. Soper and Vernon E. Leas. He was raised in Richmond where he also attended high school. He Married his first wife, Arlene Ellen Wright, on July 6, 1962 in Richmond. They relocated to Madison, where he resided until his death. He remarried, Judith Fields Cloat on August 6, 1982. He worked at Reliance Electric for 44 years before retiring in 2005. Larry's greatest love in life was being with his family and grandchildren. He loved fishing, NASCAR, and all sports, especially college football. He is survived by his wife Judi Leas, his children Mark Eugene Leas and his wife Penny, Gregg Alan Leas and his wife Tina, Marylee Shamaine and her husband Robert Griffin of Lexington, IN, and Phillip Richard (Rick) Cloat of Chicago, IL; Three siblings, Patricia Ruth Reckers of Tucson, AZ; Phillip Lee Pickett of Tucson, AZ and Rodney Leas of Dulberde, TX. Twelve Grandchildren, Krysten Leas Snyder and her husband Shaun, Joshua Leas, Jessica Leas Roberts and her husband Glenn, Carrie Lynn Leas, Haley Pedigo Thomas and her husband Michael, Mea Scott, Ashley Leas, Megan Pedigo, Samual Chase, Nathan Pedigo, Carrie Beth Smith, and Tyrus Cloat; several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents John and Millie "Mama" Soper, his mother and step-father Ruth and Lowell "Bud" Pickett, his father and step-mother Vernon Eugene and Norma Leas, his brother Rick Leas, daughter Lisa Cloat Pedigo, and one grandson, Lenville Troy McGinnis II. Family and friends may call Saturday at the Lytle Funeral Chapel from 9 until 11 am with memorial service to follow at 11 a.m.
