General Notes: Lyle Gene Leas, 65, of Edwards, Mo., passed away July 10, 2010, at the Centerpoint Hospital in Independence, Mo. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, at the Langsford Funeral Home. Cremation. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the DAV. Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, O.C. and Doris Polhill Leas. Survivors are his wife, Maxine Leas; son, Ron Leas of Lee's Summit, Mo.; brothers and sisters, Floyd (Buddy) Leas of Kansas City, Mo., and Linda Leas Freeman, Joyce Leas Thompson, Robert Leas, and Roger Leas, all of Lake of the Ozarks; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and too many friends and loved ones to count. Lyle was a US Air Force Veteran and was honorably discharged. He worked for the Kansas City Fire Dept., was owner/operator of L&M Ornamental Iron and was the owner/operator of the Flamingo Lounge. He recently retired to Lake of the Ozarks where he always wanted to be. His family and friends always came first and it was hard to find anyone who didn't love Lyle, "the life of the party."
