WELCH \emdash Olga Marie Anderson, age 83, of 405 Stewart Street, Welch, W.Va., passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Bluefield Regional Hospital. Born Feb. 2,1929, in Union, Pa, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Helen Stoyko Kachersky.
She was a resident of Welch the greater part of her life and a member of the Anderson Memorial Presbyterian Church. Olga loved reading, sewing and working crossword puzzles.
Survivors include her husband, George Anderson of Welch; two sons, George Franklin Anderson and wife, Christine, of Concord, N.C., and Timothy Anderson and wife, Kerri, of Welch; one brother, Charles Kachersky and wife, Carol, of Niles, Ohio; two grandchildren, Cheryl Marie Anderson and Christopher Matthew Anderson of Concord, N.C.
Following the wishes of Mrs. Anderson, she has been cremated.
A memorial service will be conducted, Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 12 noon from the Fanning Funeral Home Chapel, Welch, with the Rev. Chuck Hammond, officiating. The family will receive friends at the Fanning Funeral Home Chapel, Welch, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service, 12 noon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mission Ministries, 409 Virginia Avenue, Welch, WV 24801 and American Cancer Society, 1816 Jefferson Road, Bluefield, WV 24701-4032.
Fanning Funeral Home of Welch is serving the Anderson family.
