At Chattanooga, Tenn. Oct. 20, 1863 from the effects of wounds received at the Battle of Chickamauga, Albert Goodale of Co. I, 42nd Reg. III Vol., age 21 years. The Lieut. of his company writes that Albert was a good soldier, ever active, willing and true.
Another victim has fallen, another household is called to mourn, another name is added to the list of noble sons of Steuben County, who have found a grave on the battle-scarred fields of the South.
