Canute married Gertrude of Bavaria, Queen Consort of Denmark, daughter of Henry the Lion Duke of Saxony and Duke of Bavaria and Clementia of Zähringen, Duchess of Bavaria and Saxony and Countess of Savoy. (Gertrude of Bavaria, Queen Consort of Denmark was born between 1152 and 1155 and died on 1 Jun 1197.)
