DEATH OF THE COUNTY TREASURER - Waybright Ziegler, Esq., Treasurer of Adams county, died at his residence in this place, on Friday morning last, of pulmonary consumption, aged 27 years and 27 days. He was the only son of Hon. DAVID ZIEGLER. To be thus cut off upon the threshold of a useful career - removed from the endearments of a fond wife and young and interesting children, and from parents who doted upon this their only offspring - is sad, indeed; but, "He doeth all things well."
The remains of the deceased were interred in Ever Green Cemetery on Saturday afternoon, attended to the grave by the Odd Fellows and Red Men, and a large concourse of sorrowing friends and relatives. Peace to his ashes!
