Thomas Mercer ¹

  General Notes:

Another son of Thomas M., minister of Kinnellar, was also Thomas M., and may have been, the person of that name who married Margaret Rickart, younger daughter of John Rickart of Rickarton and Achnacant, and had by her two sons, of whom the younger was well known as Major James Mercer of Achnacant ²

Thomas married Margaret Rickart, daughter of David Rickart and Katherine "Catherine" Arbuthnot. (Margaret Rickart was born in 1705 in Kinnellar, Aberdeenshire, Scotland and died on 24 Apr 1771.)
