Professor Charles Deloss Goodale Jr.

  General Notes:

Prof. Charles D. Goodale Jr., 75, of Barton Lake in Fremont and formerly of Terre Haute passed away Tuesday Aug. 28, 2007 at his sisters home in Lake James after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Terre Haute on Feb. 20, 1932 to Charles and Barbara Wagner Goodale. His parents preceded in him in death.

He is survived by two brothers, Frank Goodale of California and Paul Goodale of Coldwater, Mich.; a sister, Margaret "Peggy" McDowell of Angola; three nieces; seven nephews and 16 grand nieces and nephews.

Professor Goodale taught in the Business School at Tri-State University retiring in 1993. He received his bachelors degree from Indiana State University and his masters degree from I.U.'s Kelly School of Business. He was a CPA and a member of the Indiana CPA Society for more than 40 years. He was also an Army veteran. He was the Treasurer for the Steuben County Lakes Council for 25 years and was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity.
Memorial services will be noon Saturday at the First United Congregational Church of Christ in Angola, with the Rev. Deborah Davis officiating. Memorials made be made to the Cameron Hospice and Home Health and Steuben County Lakes Council. Weicht Funeral Home, in Angola, Ind. is in charge of arrangements.

Professor Goodale was my accounting professor at Tri-State College, Angola, Steuben County, Indiana. At that time, I did not know that he was also by 12th Cousin!! ¹
