General Notes: Alice de Lusignan (or Alice of Angoulême) (born after October 1236 \endash May 1290) was the first wife of Marcher baron Gilbert de Clare, 7th Earl of Gloucester, and half-niece of King Henry III of England.[1] Alice married Gilbert de Clare 7th Earl of Gloucester in 1253. (Gilbert de Clare 7th Earl of Gloucester was born on 2 Sep 1243 in Christchurch, Hampshire, England and died on 7 Dec 1295.) |
