HELEN NAOMI NEIDIG, age 82, of Kendallville, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Shepherd of the Hill in Kendallville.
Mrs. Neidig was born in Kendallville on April 11, 1925 to William and Edna (Reichard) Kimpel.
She married Roy Alfred Neidig on April 24, 1949 at St. John Lutheran Church in Kendallville and he preceded her death May 13, 1990.
In her earlier days, Mrs Neidig she worked at Kendallville Laundry. Later she was employed with Lyall Electric of Ashley, Indiana.
Helen enjoyed taking walks and liked to take care of her garden at home.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Kendallville.
Survivors include:
Daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Roger Maxwell of Kendallville.
Grandson, Sean Maxwell of Kendallville.
Granddaughter, Carrie and Hans Huelsenbeck of Kendallville.
Great granddaughter, Ava Grace Maxwell.
Sister, Ruth Hons of Fort Meyers Beach, Florida.
Sister, Dorothy Drake of Terre Haute.
Brother, Paul and Bernita Kimpel of Kendallville.
Brother, Earl Kimpel of Kendallville.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sister, Pauline Stewart and brothers, Martin, Carl and Art Kimpel.
Visitation will be Friday, April 4, 2008, from 3:00-8:00pm at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 11:00am at Hite Funeral Home.
Officiating the funeral service will be Rev. Paul B. Griebel.
Burial will be at Fairfield Center Cemetery in Corunna.
Preferred Memorials may be made to the East Wing at Shepherd of the Hill.
