Hannah Esther Wahl Rowe, a longtime resident of Fairview, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018 in Fairview. She was born in Okeene, Oklahoma on March 17, 1935 to Lilly Belle and William Wahl and grew up on the family farm outside of Okeene. She graduated from Okeene High School and attended business college in Wichita, Kansas. Hannah worked as a bookkeeper and purchasing agent for a number of businesses in Fairview over the years including the ASCS office, Cornelson Farm Equipment, Waldon and Major County District 2.
After retirement Hannah spent many hours lovingly repairing and making authentic reproductions of antique dolls. She won numerous awards for her craftsmanship and was very proud of her ribbons and dolls. She enjoyed traveling to doll conventions and workshops with her doll making group. After many years of study, Hannah earned recognition as a Master in Antique Doll Making.
Hannah married Everett Vernon Rowe, son of Everett L. Rowe and Ethyl V. Meliza, on 2 Dec 1953. (Everett Vernon Rowe was born on 20 Nov 1935 in Aline, Alfalfa County, Oklahoma, USA, died on 21 Feb 2022 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, USA and was buried in Square Cedar Cemetery, Cleo Springs, Major County, Oklahoma, USA.)
