HIBBERD of Blockley Twp., Phila. Co., PA. Daniel Hibberd came in 1682-83 as an employee ("servant") to obtain the 50 acres offered by Wm. Penn to induce emigration to the Province of PA. He married in 8th mo. 1697 Rachel Bonsall, d/o Richard and Mary (Wood) Bonsall of Darby and resided on 100 acres across Cobbs Creek in Blockley. He died there 2/24/1740 (April). The will of DH of Phila., dated 4/23/1740, (April) proved 5/10/1740 (May) names wife Rachel, children Daniel (exec) Moses, Aaron, and Mary (Davis), s-i-ls Thomas Hall, John Pearson, and George Sanders. Recorded Phila Will Book F, p. 193. 3


Daniel married Rachel Bonsall, daughter of Richard Bonsall and Mary Wood, after 6 Aug 1697.1 (Rachel Bonsall was born about 1673 in Mouldridge Grange, Derbyshire, England.)
