A document registered at Barradeel on January 23, 1633 mentions the sale of a lot in Minnertsga by Jacob to his brother Lieuwes and his wife Hintie.
A document registered at Barradeel on February 24, 1836 mentioned Jacob Epkes and his wife Reytske Sickedr (daughter of Sicke) as residents of Arum.
A significant document dated May 1, 1650 and registered May 10, 1650, at Barradeel identifies four children and heirs of Epke and his wife Hill / Sil - Jacob, Cornelis and their sisters Foockel and Anna. Their husbands are also identified but Luuesz, the oldest brother was not mentioned.
An agreement dated May 17, 1652, was mentioned in another document registered at Barradeel on February29, 1656. Our ancestor Reytske had died. The money inherited by her son Epke Jacobs was in the possession of his father Jacob as per an agreement dated May 17, 1652.
