John married Catharine Leas, daughter of Leonard Leas and Salome Worley, in 1783 in Heidelberg Township, York County, Pennsylvania, USA. (Catharine Leas was born on 14 Jul 1761 in York County, Pennsylvania, USA and died on 8 Apr 1857 in Osnaburg, Stark County, Ohio, USA.)
