Veit Joseph Nelson, 18 of R. 1, LaOtto, was killed instantly in a two-car crash on Ind. 3 at Lisbon last Friday. The only son of Joe and Maxine Veit, he was born in Albion and attended Avilla High School, completing his education in the Navy after entering the service in January of 1963. He arrived home on leave only the previous Monday. Other survivors are the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Veit of Kendallville, and Mr. and Mrs. George Kimmel of R. 3, Albion. Funeral Monday in Berhalter-Hutchins Funeral Home, Kendallville. Burial, Huntertown Cemetery. ~ 10-1-1964 + 9-?-1964
