PATSY LOU DONALDSON, age 84, of Kendallville died on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Chandler House in Kendallville.
Patsy was born in Kendallville on January 3, 1927 to Lawrence Hosler and Bonita (Rider) Hosler. She was raised by her mother and Earl Danzer in Kendallville.
She graduated from Kendallville High School in 1944.
Patsy married Russell N. Donaldson on April 6, 1946 in Kendallville. He preceded her in death on March 8, 1991.
She worked for Campbell and Fetter Bank from 1955 until she retired in 1989. She returned to work part time at the bank from 1991 until 2009 after her husband passed away.
Patsy was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Avilla. She was also a member of the Delta Theta Tau Sorority in Kendallville since 1953. She served as a volunteer at the Mid-America Windmill Museum in Kendallville.
Patsy liked crocheting and sewing. She also was an avid reader which lead her to be a major sponsor of the new Kendallville Library. She loved to travel to different places but especially liked to spend time in Michigan.
Patsy was a loyal follower of East Noble Basketball and loved March Madness.
Survivors include:
Two daughters, Linda Middleton of Kendallville and Deborah and Mike Brand of Kendallville.
Five grandsons and their spouses; Michael and Lynn Walkup, Tony and Lydia Mark, Drew and Shaune Mark, Adam Middleton and Sean and Misty Middleton.
One granddaughter, Sarah Middleton.
One step-granddaughter, Lindsay Brand.
Seven great grandchildren; Kelsey Middleton, Abbey Walkup, Laine Middleton, Cody Lee Middleton, Eli Mark, Salvador Rodriguez and Stella Mark.
Six step-great grandchildren; Dayton Williard, Dominic Williard, Anastasia Williard, Joclyn Meyers, Ryan Meyers and Laynee Caldwell.
One sister, Bondolyn "Bonnie" Carunchia of Kendallville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father; Earl Danzer and her husband.
Visitation will be Monday, February 28, 2011 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.
Officiating the funeral service will be Rev. Dr. Leonard King.
Burial will be at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville, Indiana.
