George Yeakey of Coldwater,Mich.served in Co.I,9th Michigan Cavalry during the Civil War.He enlisted at Coldwater on April 21,1863 and was discharged at Lexington,North Carolina on July 21,1865

Married Margaret Ann Fillmore (1853-1877) in 1872, had 2 children: Erie Martin 1873-1951 and Cora B 1875-1903
After Margaret died he married Fluella (Ellen) Burt (1848-1936) in 1880, had 5 children: Phoebe Delia 1880-1931, Flora Belle 1881-1931, Henry Delbert 1887-1944, Ethel 1889-1889, Andrew Jackson 1890-1960.

George married Ellen Bert. (Ellen Bert was born in 1848 and died in 1936.)
