Kate Coley ¹

  General Notes:

John Joseph Toates was born in Grunty Fen, sub-district of Sutton in Cambridge County, England. In the spring of 1884, his parents brought him and his siblings from Cambridgeshire to the USA. Kate worked hard as a young girl, and it is believed that this may have damaged her heart. She died of heart failure. Both Kate and John are buried in the Mt. Auburn Cemetery, County, north of Colman, South Dakota. ¹
