Vivian D. Fuchs, 83, of Shelbyville, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003, Greenwood.
Born Dec. 12, 1920, in Shelby County, d/o Streight and Opal (Mitchell) Kendall. She married Ted Fuchs on Nov. 28, 1942, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 8, 2001.
Survivors include one son, James (Kathy) Fuchs of Fairland; one daughter, Carole Hood of Shelbyville; one sister, Mrs. Dale (Inez) Barlow of Pompano Beach, Fla.; 7 grandchildren, Sharon Baker of Valdosta, Ga., Tony Kirkpatrick of Miami, Fla., William Kirkpatrick of Statenville, Ga., Kendra Hood of Miami, Kris Everhart of St. Paul, Scott Fuchs of Shelbyville and Angela Ewing of Lebanon; 8 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by one sister, Reva Jean Kendall, and three brothers, Allen Kendall, Arthur Kendall and Ralph Kendall.
Cashier at Hooks Drug Store for 15 years, retiring in 1989.
Volunteer at Hospice Thrift Store.
Member of Old Union Methodist Church in Shelby County; charter member of Women of the Moose Lodge No. 1732.
