Lisa Rae Austgen Lowell, IN Lisa Rae Austgen, age 40, of Lowell, IN, passed away Friday, May 11, 2007. She is survived by her husband, Tom; two sons: Ethan and Ryan Austgen, both at home; one daughter, Cassie Karney, at home; mother, Karen Stover of Elwood, IN; father, Max (Mary) Stover of Kokomo, IN; one brother, Mike (Billie) Stover of Elwood, IN; one sister, Jennifer (Shaun) Boetjjer of Galveston, IN; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by grandparents: Bill and Margaret Downey, Leonard and Thelma Stover; and special friend, Julie Wiand Hartley. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sheets Funeral Home, 604 E. Commercial Ave., Lowell, IN with Father Peter Muha officiating. Burial will be in the Plum Grove Cemetery, Lowell, IN. Friends are invited to call on Monday at the funeral home from 2:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Lisa graduated from Elwood High School, Elwood, IN in 1987, graduated with a bachelor's degree from Ball State, Muncie, IN and a master's degree from Purdue Cal. She was a former teacher at Lake Street Elementary School, Crown Point, IN and the director for the Challenger Center of NW Indiana, Hammond, IN. Lisa received numerous awards. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Challenger Center of NW Indiana, Hammond, IN.
