Lawrence Wayne Leas, 77, of 1240 Staman Lane, Columbia, PA passed away at the Lancaster General Hospital on Thursday, October 16, 2014. He was the loving husband of Florence "Flossie" Leas to whom he was married for 18 fantastic and wonderful years.
Born in Columbia, PA, he was the son of the late Lawrence J. and Leona Flick Leas. Wayne retired from the former Grinnell Corp. in 2002 after 37 years of service. He was of the Catholic Faith.
Surviving besides his Wife are the following: Sons: David M. Leas spouse of Ben Dunlap of Elizabethtown, PA, Lawrence W. Jr. husband of Mary Leas of Columbia, PA, Daughter: Christine L. wife of Rick Stoutzenberger of Marietta, PA, Sons: Douglas P. Leas of New Hampshire and Corey L. Leas of Nebraska, 7 Grandchildren and 10 Great-Grandchildren. Also surviving are Sisters: Lareene wife of Gerald Fischer of Columbia, PA, Leona "Dolly" Shaeffer of York, PA and Kathy wife of Stan Kinard of Lancaster, PA and a number of Nieces and Nephews. He was predeceased by a Sister: Linda Clark.
A Celebration of Wayne's Life will be held from the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc., 519 Walnut St., Columbia, PA on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Fr. David Zwifka officiating. Interment will be in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens. Viewings will be held from the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday, October 19, 2014 from 1:00 PM-3:00 PM and on Monday from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM. The family requests that flowers be omitted and contributions in Wayne's Memory be made to a charity of one's choice. 3
