Winfield Manning was bon 5 Mar 1875 in Hamilton County, Illinois; son of James Henry Manning & Elizabeth Moore. He married Julia Henning 25 Feb 1906 in Fairfield, Wayne County, Illinois. He is listed with his wife and two children in the 1910 Federal Census residing in Lynn Township, Posey County, Indiana where it appears he located soon after his marriage as all his children were born in Indiana. Winfield Manning's WWI Draft Card on 12 Sep 1918 says he was tall & slender with blue eyes & dark hair and his left eye out. His address was RR16 New Harmony, Posey, Ind. He was a self-employed farmer. He rented a farm on what became Old Beach Road in Lynn Township, Posey County, Indiana. He is listed with his family at that location in the 1920 & 1930 census. He died in 1931.

(Julia Beatrice Henning was born on 20 Jan 1882 in Fairfield, Wayne County, Illinois, USA, died on 15 Sep 1973 in New Harmony, Posey County, Indiana, USA and was buried in Maple Hill Cemetery, Posey County, Indiana, USA.)
