Catharine A. Marks, Funeral services for Catharine A. Marks, 80, of 67 Conrad Road, Middlesex Township, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle.

She died Sunday, April 4, 1999, in Sarah A. Todd Nursing Home, Carlisle.

Born Jan. 17, 1919, in East Berlin, she was the daughter of the late Paul E. Leas and Mazie Spangler Leas.

She was a member and former Sunday School teacher at the Church of the Open Door in Carlisle.

She was a homemaker and had attended East Berlin High School.

Mrs. Marks is survived by her husband of 61 years, Charles E. Marks Sr. of Carlisle; a son, Charles E. Jr. of Carlisle; three daughters, Ruthanna Y. Davidson and Rosalie W. Asch of Carlisle and Darlene A. Wilkins-Mbugwa of Hummelstown; five brothers, Charles Leas, Harold Leas, Arthur Leas and Fred Leas, all of East Berlin, and Paul Leas of Glen Rock; six sisters, Ellen Hinkle and Janet Shoemaker of Dover, Dorothy Miller of Jermyn; Blanche Boyce of York; Ann Wilt of East Berlin; and Elverna Borror of Bethel Park; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Gerald W., who died in 1951, and a sister, Millie Eisenhart.

The Rev. Anna Thompson will officiate at services.

Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery, Carlisle.

Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. 3
