Halifax Churchbook Death registers show the death of "MEITZLER, Mrs. Victor E, nee Emma May Knowles, born February 9, 1885, in Holmes County, near Millersburg, Ohio; baptized in infancy, confirmed in the Reformed Church in New Bedford, Ohio. Married to Victor E. Meitzler October 16, 1921. She was since a number of years a member of Zion's Halifax; passed away at their home near the Halifax Church, march 5, 1940, age 55 years and 26 days. Buried at the Halifax Church March 8, 1940. Survivors: husband, mother Mrs. Caroline Sauerbrey, one half sister Florence, Mrs. Clarence Miller, Coshocton; one half brother Floyd Sauerbrey, Fresno, Ohio. No children."

Her father's name was U.G. Knowles or Nowels. Nothing more is known of him at this time. ¹

Emma married Victor E. "Vic" Meitzler, son of Lewis Meitzler and Mary Miller, on 16 Oct 1921. (Victor E. "Vic" Meitzler was born on 27 Jul 1880 in Coshocton County, Ohio, USA, died on 8 Nov 1853 in Coshocton County, Ohio, USA and was buried in Halifax Cemetery, Coshocton, Coshocton County, Ohio, USA.)
