From Antrim's History of Champaign and Logan Counties:

Stephen Leas and Haines Parker settled in the Lazy Hollow school district, perhaps as early as 1812, the former about three and a half miles north of Zanesfield, on the west of Madriver, and the latter on the north of him, on the farm known as the Elliot farm, but now owned by Benjamin Shoots. ²

Stephen married Susannah Gates in 1811 in York County, Pennsylvania, USA. (Susannah Gates was born on 30 Mar 1791 in York County, Pennsylvania, USA, died on 30 Sep 1874 in Logan County, Ohio, USA and was buried in Lease Cemetery, Logan County, Ohio, USA ³.)
