Wm. Leas Jr. has died without administering his father's estate. Wm's brother John is appointed by court
William S. LEAS was born in 1818. He appeared in the census in 1850 in Harrison Twp, Preble Co, OH. [NEED TO DEFINE SENTENCE: Document] He signed a will on September 29, 1857 in Harrison Twp, Preble Co, OH.11 The will of William S. Leas, merchant, was probated October 23, 1857.
The real estate and the store were to be sold. Proceeds of sales were to be distributed as follows:
Wife Elizabeth Leas was to receive her lawful share of the proceeds of the sale of property.
Executors were to take charge of the balance and put it out at interest and pay it to heirs as they come of age.
Daughter Eliza was to receive an equal share of all the estate with the balance of the heirs.
None of the household property was to be sold but left in the care of wife Elizabeth. Each heir was to have a bed and bedstead and an equal share of bedclothes as they came of age.
On September 16, 1858 Elizabeth Lease, the widow of William Lease came into court and made election.
