William Breem Crow was the son of Samuel Jackson Crow and Elisabeth Leas. He married Mary E Owens, daughter of Richard Owens and Elizabeth Morris about 1896 in South Dakota.
They were the parents of three daughters, Eva, Sylvia and Elsye Mae Crow. Their mother died approximately 18 months after Elsye was born.
Their father, William was taking horses to North Dakota or Montana in September of 1909 when he disappeared. He was never heard from again.
His brothers and sisters never found out what happened to him, although they agreed, that he never would have left three small daughters, unless he had come to a tragic end.
The three girls were raised by their maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Morris Owens, until they each married. Eva married William Koppelman. Sylvia married Willard Remster Slade and Elsye married Ignatz Henry William Spenner
