John H Reinoehl, 87 formerly of Ashley died Friday January 7, 2011 at Northern Lakes Nursing Home in Angola.
He was born August 1, 1923 in Fairfield Township in DeKalb County to John H. and Effie T. (Hamman) Reinoehl.
John was a lifetime Smithfield Township farmer and also worked as an inspector at International Harvester in Fort Wayne for over 24 ½ years retiring on July 1, 1983. He was a member of Pleasant Chapel Church of the Brethren in Ashley and was a HAMM Radio Operator.
He married Marjorie Hartman on October 23, 1942 in Noble County and she passed away December 24, 2007. He is survived by 6 sons and 2 daughters, John Reinoehl of Waterloo, James Reinoehl of Townsend, TN, Phillip Reinoehl of Mishawaka, Mark Reinoehl of Waterloo, Joel Reinoehl of White Pigeon, MI, Chris Reinoehl of Mishawaka, Carol Smith of Angola and Brenda Dudley of Phoenix, AZ. There are 19 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son David Reinoehl, 4 brothers Willis Reinoehl, Henry Reinoehl, Harold Reinoehl and Paul "Sam" Reinoehl and 2 sisters Olga Taylor and Lydia "Ruth" Parr.
Services will be 11 AM Wednesday January 12, 2011 at Pleasant Chapel Church of the Brethren, Ashley with Pastor Valerie Kline officiating. Burial in Fairfield Cemetery, Corunna. Calling is Tuesday from 2 to 8 PM at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, Waterloo. Preferred Memorials are to the Church.
John married Marjorie Mae Hartman, daughter of Raymond D. Hartman and Wanda Lucille Tuttle.
