I've found a Leota Brown in the 1870 and 1880 census born in 1867 in Galapolis, Ohio to a George C and Charlotte Brown. They are living in Nokomis, Montgomery, Illinois at the time. Charlotte would have been born about 1833 in Ohio, George about 1831 in Pennsylvania. The census documents list the other children as Lily, Samual Virden, Belle, Ellsworth, George S, Fanny and Levinia.
Ancestry.com's "One World Tree" lists Charlotte's parents as Thomas Graden and Margaret Oswalt. It also gives more precise data about where and when they lived:
