MONONA - Ethel Stelow, 86, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2003, at her home, after a
brief illness.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27, at Garden City Methodist
Church, Monona, with burial in Smithfield Cemetery, rural Monona.
The Leonard Funeral Home, Monona, was in charge of arrangements.

Smithfield Cemetery rural Monona, Iowa.
In Loving Memory. Ethel Caroline Strelow, 86, of Monona, Iowa, died Friday,
October 24, 2003, at her home following a brief illness. Ethel was born on
September 23, 1917, rural Monona, Iowa, to John and Mabel (Henkes)
Schlitter. She attended the Figge Country School through the eighth grade.
Ethel was united in marriage to Paul Strelow. Two children were born to this
union. Ethel worked at home and at Monona Wire for many years. She loved
spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her two children, Pauline (Leon) Ralston, Dubois, WY,
Roger Strelow, Monona; two sisters, Marie Mount, Waukon, Helen Mielke,
Monona; one sister-in-law, Pauline Schlitter, Monona; four grandchildren and
eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul, on October 30,
1986; two sisters, Edna Klotzbach and Delores Wilkins-Owens and three
brothers, Elmer, Melvin and Donald Schlitter.
Casket Bearers - Dean Gunderson, Ron Leas, Jeff Kruse, Nile Kruse, Harold
Krambeer, Jim Chase.
She was buried at the Smithfield Cemetery in Allamakee, Iowa, USA on 27
Oct 2003.
Ethel married Paul Strelow. (Paul Strelow was born on 31 Jan 1912 and died on 30 Oct 1986.)
