Gertrude I. Leas, 91, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, February 23, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Margarete Winkelmann, and a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She is survived by her children, Patricia (Jim) Gebhart, Mariane Duffey, Anita (Thomas) Tracy, Matthew Leas, and Sara Pellot; grandchildren, Deidre, Jenny, Tracy, Tammy, David, Amanda, Maggie, Joshua, Matt, Tom, Damien, and Shelly; and seven great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Blaine D. Leas. Funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, February 28, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Wayne Street Chapel, 420 W. Wayne St., Fort Wayne, with calling two hours prior to service. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to Lutheran Hospital Chaplin's Program, or the Allen County SPCA.

Gertrude married Blaine D. Leas, son of Judge Fay Willis Leas and Living. (Blaine D. Leas was born on 22 Oct 1919 in Fremont, Steuben County, Indiana, USA and died on 10 Dec 1985 in Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana, USA.)
