Crystal D. Leas

GALENA -- Crystal D. Leas, 76, of Galena, died at 8:25 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 8, 2001 at Galena Nursing Center following a long illness.

She was born July 14, 1925 to Aden and Edna Mae (Avery) Fisher. She lived most of her life in Kansas City and Galena. She was a homemaker.

She married Floyd Daniel Leas at Kansas City in 1944. He preceded her in death on Dec. 3, 1968.

Survivors include three sons, Donald Leas, of Galena, and Gary Leas and Calvin Leas, both of Weston, Mo.; one daughter, Kathy Brand, of Galena; one brother, Esten Fisher, of Adrian, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and two sisters, Leoretta Pickering and Bertha Cooper.

Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Rosebank Cemetery in Mulberry. Pastor Jim Jones will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m., Today at Derfelt Funeral Home in Galena ⁴

Crystal married Floyd Daniel Leas, son of Elmer Leas and Flora Gray, in 1944 in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, USA. (Floyd Daniel Leas was born on 26 Sep 1924 in Blackburn, Saline County, Missouri, USA, died on 3 Dec 1968 in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, USA and was buried in Rosebank Cemetery, Mulberry, Crawford County, Kansas, USA.)
