Jonathan Boone is the nephew of Daniel Boone and the husband of Catherine Rice - who is the sister of Nancy Rice, ancestor of Louis Lehmann ) Catherine Rice is the 3rd great grand aunt of Louis Lehmann. Their common ancestors are Jacob Rice and Ann .

SOURCE CITATION: Page: p. 138 Text: In 1775 or 76 when SquireBoone's family moved to Fort Boonesborough from NC, Jonathan,then a boy of about nine was brought along. As a small boy, hewas present at the Siege of Boonesborough, and in the spring of1779, went with the family in their move to the Falls of theOhio (Louisvill). In that same year he was taken by his fatherto Kaskaska (illinois) where he was left to learn the Frenchlanguage. Here he remained four years. About four years afterhis return from Kaskaska, which would be in 1787, he was sent toBerks County, Pa, to stay with relatives and attend school.Here his father's cousin, James Boone, gave him instructions.When he returned home to Kentucky, the next year, he brough withhim the "Boone Genealogy" written by James Boone and dated 21March 1788. After this there is no further record of him untilhis marriage in 1793 to Mrs. Catherine (Rice) Fullenwider, whowas a daughter of Jacob I and Anne Rice. Her first husband, Peter Fullenwider died of malaria, leaving her with severalchildren. The marriage of Jonathan and Mrs. Fullenwider tookplace while his father was away on his trip to St. Simon's Fla.,and his visit into Pa. For a while they lived at Rice's Fort,Shelby County, Ky; then moved to Brandenburg Ky from which place they eventually moved to Crawford County, Ind (possibly to Alton or near there) where he died in 1837. Catherine married Peter Fullenwider, son of Henry Fullenwider and Barbara Frick, on 10 Apr 1783 in Shelby County, Kentucky, USA. (Peter Fullenwider was born in 1762 in Lewistown, Frederick County, Maryland, USA and died in Nov 1790 in Shelby County, Kentucky, USA.)


Catherine next married Jonathan Boone, son of Squire Maugridge Boone Jr. and Jane Van Cleave, on 11 Apr 1793 in Kentucky, USA. (Jonathan Boone was born on 30 Aug 1766 in Yadkin Valley, Yadkin County, North Carolina, USA, died on 9 Mar 1831 and was buried in Fullenwider Family Cemetery, New Alton, Crawford County, Indiana, USA.)
