Ruby Wicker ¹

Ruby Watts of Avilla, died December 6, 2006 at her home. She was born November 30, 1933 in Mousie, Ky. to John and Flossie (Hicks) Wicker. She married Marion Scheurich Jr. on May 30, 1959. He died August 10, 1994. She married Leard Watts on July 29, 2006. Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Pamela White of Kendallville; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Larry Watts of Avilla and Terry and Durlinda Scheurich of Wolcottville; a sister, Nellie Conley of Ohio; 4 brothers and 3 sisters-in-law, Clyde and Shirley Wicker of Ky., Randolph and Mable Wicker of S.C., and Robert and Norma Wicker and Bobbie Wicker of Okla.; 9 grandchildren, Chris, Philip and Emily Watts, Rachel, Sarah and Laura White, Dillon, Dakeesha and Latosha Scheurich; and 3 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a grandchild, Brandy Watts; and 2 brothers, Leo and Philip Wicker. She cleaned for RSL Services and B&J Specialties. She was a member of Little Flossie Church which had been named in honor of her mother, Flossie Hicks Wicker, who had been a founding member. Services were held at the Little Flossie church and burial took place in the Orange Cemetery in Rome City, Indiana, near the graves of her parents and a brother. ¹

Ruby married Marion Scheurich on 30 May 1959.¹ (Marion Scheurich was born on 28 Nov 1926 in Avilla, Noble County, Indiana, USA, died on 10 Aug 1994 and was buried in Orange Cemetery, Rome City, Noble County, Indiana, USA.)

Ruby next married Leard Watts, son of Troy P. Watts and Isabelle "Isie" Amburgey, on 29 Jul 2006.¹ (Leard Watts was born on 13 Feb 1935,¹ died on 8 May 2019 ¹ and was buried in Attica Township Cemetery, Attica, Lapeer County, Michigan, USA ¹.)
