To start we must go back to 1717 and 1720 when five brothers and two sisters arrived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from Switzerland (This may be an error and should be Germany). One of the brothers John Forney and his wife Elanor, her maiden name not known, settled in Berks County Pennsylvania. This family had children Barbara, Jacob, Catherine, and Peter. 2


Johann married Elanor Elizabetha Lowisa.
