Jacob's estate settlement documents indicate, through the list of farm and household goods, that they had a sizeable farm. No actual will was found, and no heirs were listed, but in the estate sale they did list as purchasers of items a Thomas Lease, and a Mrs. Lease.

Jacob married Sarah Hollenback, daughter of Thomas Hollenback and Margaret, about 1794. (Sarah Hollenback was born about 1780 in Bedford County, Virginia, USA and died about 1855 in Hampshire County, West Virginia, USA.)
