Shipe Cecil V, 79, Bronson, Mich., died Friday. Born in Ashley Aug. 18, 1898, he was the son of I. V. and Della Shipe. He married Myrtle B. Nickerson Aug. 22, 1919 in Kendallville. She died Dec. 6, 1977. He was a WW I veteran and clerk of the NYC Railroad Co. until retirement in 1963. Survivors include 5 daughters, Mrs. Jody Selma Fagan, LaPorte, Mrs. Milton Norma Erickson, Three Oaks, Mich., Mrs. Henry Clevenger, Bronson, Mrs. Linda Snider, Jackson, Mich., and Rebecca of Sturgis, Mich.; 3 sons, Richard of Sturgis, Donald of Fort Wayne, and Sheryl of Reelsville, Ind.; 2 sisters, Mrs. Ted Ruth of Diekson, Tenn., and Mrs. Viola Wrathall of Livingston, Texas; 24 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Services will be at Rosenburg-Schipper Funeral Home in Sturgis on Monday. Burial, Orange Cemetery. + 1-?-1978
