Reba Philp went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 13, 2012. She was 83. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 16, 2012 in the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Scott K. Hannen officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Glory To Him Church, 6193 Andrews Avenue, Ozark, AL 36360.

Reba was born on February 22, 1929 in Bay County, FL In 1953, she married Lowell Philp. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. For many years she also faithfully served with her husband in ministry at various locations including Milligan, FL, Perry FL, Ashford, AL, Columbia, SC, Florala, AL, Dothan, AL, Lovetown, AL and Ozark, AL.

Reba was preceded in death by her parents Grady Hardy and Ocie Ming, two sisters Ruby Hardy and Ruth Schwartz, and two brothers, R.G. Hardy and Ray Gerald Ming.

Survivors include her husband Lowell Philp of Dothan; one daughter, Treva Leas and husband Mark of Dothan; one granddaughter, Stephanie Leas; two sisters, Lola Eyles and husband Don of Phenix City, AL and Ola VanDusen of Augusta, GA.

Reba married Rev. Lowell Dean Philp, son of Lester Melvin Philp and Mary Margaret Musser, on 20 Dec 1953 in Graceville, Jackson County, Florida, USA. (Rev. Lowell Dean Philp was born on 27 May 1924 in New Raymer, , Colorado, died on 30 Jun 2013 in Dothan, Houston County, Alabama, USA and was buried in Sunset Memorial Park, Midland City, Dale County, Alabama, USA.)
