HUDSON \emdash Eugene Lowell "Kenny" Kennedy, 84, of Hudson passed away at home on Monday, May 16, 2016.
He was the loving husband for over 62 years to his wife, Virginia (nee Vanfossan) Kennedy; beloved father to his five children: daughters, Jill (Charles) Wilson of Angola, Merry (Ken Hill) Kennedy of Kendallville, and his sons Paul (Louise) Kennedy of Ashley, Shawn (Diane) Kennedy of Aurora, Illinois, and John Kennedy of Hudson; cherished grandfather to his six grandchildren, Charles Jr., Cory, Eric, Dale, Keith and Alison; and dear brother-in-law of Betty (nee Steele) of Bryan, Ohio.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harley and Mary (nee Pierce) Kenned,y and his brother, Harley Kennedy Jr. of Bryan, Ohio.
He was proud Korean War Air Force veteran, past chairman of the Steuben County Democrats, Past Master of Ashley Lodge 614 and past president of the Ashley-Hudson Lions Club.
Eugene loved to work with wood, hunt and fish and always made time to help others.
He will be missed by all who loved him.
Visitation is on Sunday, May 22, 2016, at Johnson Funeral Home in Hudson, Indiana, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m., with Masonic Funeral Rites immediately following.
Funeral services are on Monday, May 23, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home and internment at Circle Cemetery in Hudson immediately following.
Memorials in Eugene's name may be directed to Cameron Home Health Care and Hospice, 302 E. Maumee St., Angola, Indiana.
