Virginia Fay Kennedy (nee Vanfossan), 86, of Hudson, Indiana passed away at Lakeland
Nursing Home, Angola on February 9, 2018.
Loving wife for over 62 years to her late husband Eugene Lowell Kennedy; beloved mother to her five children, daughters Jill (Charles) Wilson of Angola, Merry Kennedy of Kendallville, and her sons Paul (Louise) Kennedy of Ashley, Shawn (Diane) Kennedy of Aurora, Illinois and John Kennedy of Hudson and cherished grandmother to her 6 grandchildren Charles Jr, Cory, Eric, Dale, Keith and Alison.
She is proceeded in death by her parents Clyde and Eva (nee Shallenberg) Vanfossan and her brother Robert (Bob) Vanfossan of Columbiana Ohio.
She previously has proudly served her community as the Clerk for the Town of Hudson, Vice Chairwoman of the Steuben County Democrats and Secretary of the 4th Congressional District Democrats.
She loved spending time with family especially her grandchildren. She adored the Detroit Tigers and Purdue sports, closely watching every game she could.
Visitation on Saturday February 17, 2018 at Hudson United Brethren Church, 516 North Main Street, Hudson at 1 PM with a memorial service at 2 PM with food and fellowship immediately following.
Memorials can be made to the Steuben County Democrats or Cameron Hospice, both of Angola.
Young Family Funeral Home, Hudson-Ashley Chapel, 612 North Main Street, Hudson is assisting the family with arrangements.
