-- from a writeup by granddaughter Ida Clinkingbeard:
Matilda was a short woman with dark hair and blue eyes. Her nationality was Dutch-Cherokee. She was an orphan, raised by an aunt. Her brother John ran a ferryboat across the Mississippi River. She died in 1914 at age 91.
-- I don't have hard proof that George was her father, but circumstantial evidence is overwhelming. See his notes.

I'm fairly confident the additional people are the Weavers. James' children are all known, and do not match the three people I have as Weaver. These three do match the only Weaver family in Wilson Co on the 1820 census, who are listed one page after James Yandell. George Weaver apparently died soon after Matilda was born, and it appears his family then moved in with the Yandells. His widow Matilda must have died soon after that, leading to our family story of Thomas' wife being an orphan. Land records show the Weavers and Yandells were probably neighbors, or at least very close. See notes for George. 1
Thomas married Matilda Weaver on 5 Oct 1841. (Matilda Weaver was born in 1823 in Wilson County, Tennessee, USA, died on 2 May 1914 in Ava, Douglas County, Missouri, USA and was buried in Ava Cemetery, Ava, Douglas County, Missouri, USA 2.)
