Dan S. Parr
92; of Georgetown
Funeral services for Dan S. Parr, 92, of Georgetown, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11 at Kraft Funeral Homes, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany with private burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. He died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012 at Autumn Woods Health Campus, New Albany.
Dan was a native of Southern Indiana, an Army Air Corp Veteran of World War II and a retired general foreman from LG&E after 38 years of employment. He was a member of DePauw Memorial United Methodist Church in New Albany and the Masonic Lodge in Greenville.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years Mitzie J. Parr; sons Dennis Parr (Bev), Rolf Parr (Susan); brothers Bob Parr of Clarksville, Tenn., and Harley Parr (Wanda); grandchildren Cory Parr (Amanda), Carrie Whalen (Scott), Kim Edlin (Kevin), Kevin Parr (Rebecca), Kyle Parr (Jennifer) and Ross Howard (Allyson); and 16 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Dan's family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Autumn Woods Health campus.
