OPAL E. MYERS, of Garrett, died Monday, June 26, 2006, at her home. Born in Grand Rapids, Mich., she retired from Cooper Tire after 24 years of service, in 1990. She was a member of Garrett Country Club and American Legion Post 178 Women's Auxiliary. Surviving are her husband, William Myers of Garrett; sons, Edward Hills of Boone, N.C., Matt Myers and Joe Myers, both of Tempe, Ariz.; daughter, Deborah Hopf of Cary, N.C.; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brothers, Jim Kinsey of Fort Wayne, Robert Kinsey and Larry Kinsey, both of St. Joe. She was preceded in death by her father, Glenn W. Kinsey; mother, Mary E. Sheardy; and brother, Donald Kinsey. No service or visitation. Arrangements by McComb, Dilgard & Cline Funeral Home, 502 N. Main St., Auburn. Memorials to Dekalb Memorial Hospice, American Cancer Society or Coram Health Care.
