Albert Damon, eldest son of James Burton and Flossie N. Parr, was born near Alton, on July 14, 1924, and passed away June 10, 1943 at Milltown, aged 18 years; 10 months and 26 days.
He spent his short life in the vicinity of Alton and Pleasant Ridge.
He was prepared to answer his country's call the first of July.
He is survived by his father and mother, three brothers, Frank, Jerry and James at home, four sisters, Mrs Howard Morris, of Milltown, Mrs Ralph Cox, of Cape Sandy; Mrs Laymon Mahan, of Corydon, and Miss Bertie Ruth, of New Albany; his grandparents, Mr and Mrs Edward Parr, of Alton, and Samuel Cox, of Cape Sandy. Two baby sisters preceded him in death.
