Elsie Unruh (Hoerr) Leas was the dear daughter, and oldest child, of John and Emma (Harrison) Hoerr and sister of William, Daniel, John, and Laura. She married Jesse C. Leas in Chicago, Illinois on August 13, 1915. Together, they raised their four children: Chester A., William H., John Lafayette, and Bertha.
Elsie spent many fulfilling years serving in the ladies' auxiliary, VFW PA POST 676, North Penn Post, Glenside, Pennsylvania, serving in a number of capacities including president. Elsie marched in Memorial Day parades with this group. She and husband Jesse enjoyed travel to VFW conventions in a variety of U.S. locations.
Elsie is buried with her husband, Jesse, and their son, Chester A.
