Favorite Memory From Dance:
Sophomore year at camp. Allison, Sara and I threw ourselves a “pity-party” because of evaluations on the 2nd night. So after eating an entire package of Oreo’s we felt a lot better and started talking about “drill-downs’ (military command game). If you’re in the top 10-15 of each round you got a gold-yellow ribbon and Mollye was set on getting a ribbon. During one of the last rounds the command “right-face” was called (which is a quarter turn to the right) and Mollye did a “dress-right-dress” (extending your arm to the right and looking right). She thought she’d done the correct command and looked pretty happy. The instructor even laughed when she had to tell her she’d done the wrong thing. So while Allison, Sara and I were cracking up from talking about Mollye, she walks into the room and says, “Wow, I can tell Greensburg people are in here”, which made us laugh even harder.
People You Would Like to Thank:
1st, I want to thank my mom. She signed me up for my first dance class 12 years ago and has been there for every try-out, recital and competition. I Love You!
2nd, I want to thank Laurie. Without her studio and coaching, I wouldn’t have become the dancer I am. Thanks!
Last, but most certainly not least, I want to thank the Peach-Chokers. Skipper, you were my role model. I love you to death. Peaches, you always make me laugh! Love ya’ Sparky, you’re my co-rebel. Without you I wouldn’t have made it through this year. Best friends forever & always.
